From Germany To Tokyo, & then To Your Screen: How To Get The Corrupted Creeper Cape!

As part of the Minecraft Dungeons II collection of limited-time cosmetics, Mojang released the Corrupted Creeper cape! Unlike some other capes launched during the same promotion, this one is only available to wear in Minecraft Dungeons II, but looks incredible nonetheless.
The cape has been made available to players through numerous methods, including both in-person events and online campaigns. Players who attended Gamescom 2026 from August 26-30, 2026, received physical cards containing redemption codes at the XBOX booth, while those who attended the Tokyo Game Show on September 17, 2026 were rewarded theirs digitally as a giveaway via Discord.
On September 17, 2026, Mojang released 1 million digital codes through Gleam, though the giveaway was shut down early and ended on the same day. Not long after, another promotion was announced for September 21, 2026, which enabled players to claim the cape by watching either a Twitch Partner or Affiliate livestream in the Minecraft Dungeons II category for 15 minutes or watching any Game Rewards-enabled Minecraft Dungeons II stream on TikTok for 3 minutes.
Unfortunately, the Corrupted Creeper cape has been inaccessible to a large audience for a couple of reasons. For players living in countries such as China, Hong Kong, Iran, India and Afghanistan, obtaining a code can be directly impossible, since their governments have banned these platforms. Another percentage of these codes were obtained in face-to-face events, which has by default restricted the pool of available codes. We would like to remind our customers that this Cape is exclusive to Minecraft Dungeons II and is not redeemable on Minecraft Java or Bedrock Edition. Please check our FAQs on how to redeem it, as it is different from our usual Java & Bedrock capes.
