In addition to releasing their own 15th Anniversary Creeper Cape, Mojang partnered with both TikTok and Twitch to give players the opportunity to claim a few more exclusive capes.
To obtain the Purple Heart Cape, players had to watch 15 minutes of any Minecraft content on Twitch between May 15th and May 31st, 2024.
However, players who wanted to obtain the Follower’s Cape had a few more steps to follow. Running from May 18th through to June 18th, 2024, players had to comment “Minecraft” on any Minecraft stream, with the condition that the creator had rewards enabled.
After completing these tasks, players would receive their activation codes by email. Because new codes are no longer being generated, the supply of both capes has become increasingly limited.
Although the market has increased the value of both capes, the Follower’s Cape has risen considerably more in value compared to its counterpart. With supplies continuing to become more limited, the Purple Heart Cape remains an interesting addition for collectors looking to expand their cape collection.
