The Copper Age update released on September 30th, 2025, bringing copper armour, tools and weapons, the copper golem and various vanity items into the game.
Luckily for us, Mojang also accompanied the update with the Copper Cape Quest, a special three-part community challenge that ran from September 30th to October 20th, 2025.
Similarly to previous cape drops, the Copper Cape could be obtained by completing watch time quests. This time, players could choose to watch either 3 minutes of Minecraft content on any affiliated TikTok stream or 5 minutes of Minecraft content on any affiliated Twitch stream.
Players could also obtain the cape in person at TwitchCon in San Diego between October 17th and 19th, 2025, where they would receive a physical code printed on a card. For the more committed players, there was also the option to place a copper statue in-game on Bedrock Edition before October 20th, 2025, and strike a pose next to it.
While an official Minecraft page states that the codes should have been redeemed before November 19th, 2025, this has not been the case — nor has it been for any capes so far.
